Project Plan and Background Information for ATS
The Autism Treatment Center (ATC) has been serving the Dallas community since its founding in 1976. They work with autistic individuals of all ages, at times instructing non-verbal individuals from a young age until they are fully functional adults. The aim of the ATC is to give all individuals the skills they need to learn and integrate themselves into society. The ATC currently has six programs in their Dallas location consisting of: Residential Services, Educational Services, Adult Services, Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy, General Therapy, and Community Awareness. In the behavioral treatment process, the ATC catalogs and analyzes behavioral patterns. The currently do so with pen and paper, which leads to administrative inaccuracies as well as unnecessary work for the staff. Our aim is to eliminate the source of these problems by creating a data collection application.
