EPICS is proud to state that the Richardson Animal Project has come to a close! The project has ended, with the Animal Shelter having all their requirements met by the EPICS teams.

The University of Texas at Dallas EPICS program is collaborating with the Richardson Animal Shelter to build a better place for our local feline friends. Since 2016, student-led teams have been designing, curating, and delivering pet towers built for kittens to play and enjoy at the animal shelter.  A link to the Richardson Animal Shelter can be found here.

The Fall 2018 team will start with a clean slate and deliver an original kitten tower before the end of the calendar year. The Fall team has been working closely with the Richardson Animal Shelter to ensure a timely and readily available design that will accommodate their requirements.

Welcome to Cat’s Cradle

The Richardson Animal Shelter is the place where take care of cats safely until they meet a new family. The shelter wants cats to be comfortable and happy, but the conditions are not good enough. It means a lot of volunteer work is needed. The Richardson Animal Shelter requested problem of cat’s playground furniture and Cat’s Corner is going to inherit this project from the previous team, and plan to make 1/3 scale of the product.
